          We all have something to offer the world.  For me, it is my art.  I have a deep passion to re-create the way I view the world around me.  Everyone has a different perspective on life, we all see things differently, and I want to be able to share how I see life with the world.  When you stop and look at what is around you there is so much to take in.  To look deeper into even the simplest of details and to see the beauty and life that it holds.  There is an emotion that comes with everything we see.  In turn, an emotion is sparked when people look at art.  I am motivated by the emotion and the ability to pull from those who see my art.  They feel excitement and motivation, which brings people to a place where they to pursue their own dreams.  When people see someone else who has taken the time to excel in what they do, it encourages people to do the same in their own lives.  So, if I can encourage someone to strive to become a better person in what they do, that is success.

            Oil paint is my absolute favorite medium to use.  A painting should bring life to the person viewing it.  The layering techniques I use with oil paint has given me the ability to create life on canvas, while still giving me the flexibility to walk away and work on multiple pieces at a time.  Using the best materials will yield a greater visual outcome and it makes a difference to the customer when they know they are receiving a quality piece of art.  Finding the right composition and subject is the starting block for all works of art.  I then study different lighting effects to capture the emotion that I am looking to recreate.  Lighting creates emotion at the very core of a painting and it is important to get it right.  The dramatic light brings a greater feeling to a painting. 

            I have recently studied and trained myself with Digital Painting. I use a device called a Cintique22 it is quite an impressive piece of equipment. it is like a 22 inch touch screen tablet to put it plainly. this hardware comes with a pen, similar to a stylist. The technology in the pen and the screen work together providing over 8,000 pressure sensitivity points. This creates a very precise accuracy while painting. I have designed and created several of my own brush tips to create the textures and strokes you will see in my digital portraits and paintings. I have really begun to fall in love with this method as it has provided me the ability to take on more project for people.

            A piece of art makes a statement in and of itself.  Various styles and mediums all create a different statement.  They can be fun, creative, abstract, an escape to a secluded place, or it could give off something different each time you see it.  I have been able to study all types of art.  Those studies have given me the ability to bring all those aspects together to create an original piece of timeless art.   When people see my work, I want them to be visually, emotionally, spiritually, and physically moved by what they see.  Everyone interprets life in their own way, and what we put in front of us effects the way we live.   Creating art with passion will speak to our generation and the generations to come.  This generation needs to be influenced by the beauty of life that surrounds them.  My goal is to strive for excellence in everything I do.  May that be an influence on our culture to not settle for anything less than our best!
